Meet the smallest penguins in the world and the only colony you will see in Europe at Weymouth SEA LIFE Adventure Park! Fairy Penguins (also known as Little Blue Penguins) are the world’s smallest penguins measuring just over 25cm tall and weighing around 1 kg.

Contrary to popular belief, all 17 species of penguins are found in the Southern Hemisphere and only two species, the Emperor and the Adele penguin, live exclusively on the continent of Antarctica. The others are found in places such as Australia, New Zealand, South America, and Africa. At Sea Life Park you can see Humboldt Penguins.

Most penguins feed on krill, fish, squid and other forms of sea life which they catch with their bills and swallow whole while swimming. A penguin has a spiny tongue and powerful jaws to grip slippery prey.
