Sep 20, 2006 · Script-fu : merge and save to PNG When you perform a 'gimp-image-merge-visible-layers', a new layer is created and its ID returned by the function. You need to pass that new layer's ID to 'gimp-png-save' ("ombre1" no longer exists).

Jan 2, 2010 · I am new to gimp's scripting and would like to automate the rectangle selection tool by defining the position and size using a script. Afterwards, I would like to extract the selection, 'paste as new image' and save the image as a png file without compression. It would be nice, if you can give me some hints, how to achieve this.

Feb 10, 2010 · Unfortunately, Script-fu does not provide a way to create subdirectories so a direct scripting solution to Javier's problem is not available. Using Script-fu, each layer could be saved with the layer tree structure information embedded in the filenames. For example. exported_layers++panel_1++bar.png exported_layers++panel_1++foo.png

Feb 10, 2010 · The "Open" dialog box does not even recognize .png or .jpeg files as image files, and I can only view them when I select "All Files" in the drop down box. I'm not extremely computer savvy, but I've been doing some of my own research into the problem.
