Jan 3, 2012 · I used my Mk17 SCAR-H placIng 1st in Heavy Metal Limited (7 competitors), and 17/79 over all (vs open, tac scope, tac limited, heavy metal scope) I haven't used this rifle competitively much, and the main difference for me vs shooting tac limited is being conscious of the reduced capacity and proactively reloading more often.

Jul 12, 2021 · The SCAR has standard 1913 rails at 3,6,9 and 12, whereas the MCX (Virtus) comes w/ an M-Lok rail, so there's that. The only thing I really don't like about the MCX is the second gen bolt carrier, which has some small parts and is a bit more complicated than an AR or the SCAR to reassemble.

Dec 4, 2012 · I truly believe that modern piston system rifles, from the SCAR to the well-designed AR-15 piston systems, have nearly as much or the same amount of reliability in a much more versatile, accurate, and tactical package.

Jul 27, 2014 · To solve the problem of the SCAR being to long, I just bought the 10" replacement barrel. I know you lose a little velocity with the 10" Scar vs. the 16" Tavor but I think I enjoy shooting the SCAR more than the Tavor.
