Sayid Hassan Jarrah (Arabic: سعيد جراح) was a middle section survivor of Oceanic Flight 815 and a former Iraqi Republican Guard torturer. A courageous man and a competent leader, Sayid maintained a conservative manner which reflected his strength and spirituality.

He is best known for his role as Sayid Jarrah in the television series Lost (2004–2010), for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award, as well as winning a Screen Actors Guild Award along with the cast.

In 2004, Andrews was cast as Sayid Jarrah on Lost, though he first thought that the initial premise was "limited at best and dreadful at worst." However, the character quickly became a fan favorite. Andrews is one of the more outspoken members of the cast in regards to the show itself.

Sayid Jarrah developed several relationships over the course of the series. Origin: Sayid captured Ben in the Swan and tortures him. Prize: Pride.
