The saw duang (Thai: ซอด้วง, pronounced [sɔː dûəŋ], RTGS: so duang) is a two-stringed instrument used in traditional Thai music. The sound is produced by the bow made from horsetail hair which goes between the strings made from silk.

Spiked fiddle from Thailand. Saw (So) is the generic name for fiddle and the Saw Duang belongs to a larger family of fiddles played in Thailand. This Saw Duang is made of a hard wood spike that passes through a small soundbox made of the same wood, coloured dark with a glossy finish.

The saw duang is played upright, resting on the leg, with the bowhairs passing behind the strings. The bow (Collection number 5051.1960) is slightly curved and tapered. Each end is capped with a turned finial of ivory.
