Sep 1, 2009 · Hi, i recently found a pair of sayno speakers in my possession. They worked perfectly until a mate asked if he could borrow them. I got them back and found that the cones don/t play any sound, only the tweeters play sound. There is no base or anything except for a bit of sound from the tweeters. I was quite annoyed as you can expect.

Very good tweeters! Loud and clear fixed my sanyo system and good timbering between the two

If your pair of loudspeakers has a cone tweeter, I'd automatically replace the cone tweeter with a dome unit. (find an affordable pair) If the woofer magnet is good sized, I'd keep the enclosure as a reflex enclosure, but add a length of duct/tube to tune the port.

Sep 14, 2010 · It's not quite the same thing, but I have Optimus LX4 with the Linaeum Tweeter hooked to a SONY Minisystem in the kitchen. It sounds pretty good. There's a lot of bang for the buck to gotten by tossing the speaks that come with these systems and subbing a small quality speaker for them.

Mar 9, 2021 · My Sanyo speakers (from their late 70's OTTO range of higher-end equipment) are in need of some work as one of the tweeters has developed a bit of a rasp. I was thinking that the best thing is just to replace them with a modern tweeter, but given the large amount of free space in the cabinets, I have all kinds of options.

This is a used pair of tweeters with covers out of a Sanyo SS-960 speaker. Model on the tweeters is S08H27 and measured 7.0 and 7.1 ohms. Being used, it could use a little cleaning and has some usage marks.
