Salukis are lean and graceful with long legs. They can be very fast runners. They have silky coats which can either be smooth with short hair all over, or feathered with longer hair around the ears, legs and tail. Saluki colours can be white, cream, fawn, red or tan.

Much prized by the Bedouins along with their Arabian horses, the Saluki is an elegant and light footed hound of the Middle East. The Sheikhs kept careful breeding records and recorded the hunting prowess of their hounds.
