Jan 10, 2009 · I use to own a 99 Roush Stage 2 and it doesn't even compare to my Terminator. If you must though I would get a Roush Stage 3 over a Saleen. Typically Roush are touted to handle better than Saleens. Or pick which you think looks better. Saleens hold their valve better. When you buy a Saleen Mustang you are buying a Saleen S281.

Jun 18, 2021 · The T56 tranny also replaced the Tremec 5 speed unit. Somewhere in the later cars, 98 maybe, the Lightning shortblocks were all gone from Ford inventory. Saleen used the beefier sportsman blocks with actual forged internals. The final year, 99, like mine, all had Wiseco pistons and Eagle H beam rods in that beefy block.

Apr 20, 2004 · the s351's are real easy to get power out of. if saleen would have followed thru and done the necisary upgrades (fuel pumps (they have an aftermarket pump after the faxctory pumps, but the factory ones starve the aftermarket pump)and injectors), they would have had an easy 600hp car.
