Sako used Roman numerals in this series of models. Sako makes an excellent rifle, with collectors preferring about any model except the newer 75s and 85s.

Nov 8, 2002 · Sako certainly has a very good reputation for their current offerings, but what about these? I don't have the foggiest idea how old this gun is, or what a value range would be for such a model. This one is a 7mm Rem mag in 95+% condition.

Nov 19, 2012 · I would think that barrel condition would be a bigger factor in accuracy than the model or configuration with the older L series rifles. You probably will find it easier to find a L46 or L461 in 222 Rem than in the other calibers mentioned. A few L46's were chambered in 222 Rem Mag until Sako offered the L469 in that caliber exclusively.

Jun 9, 2018 · Even though Sako referred to their long action internally as the L61R even after the modifications done to the AIII & AV, your action is more correctly called an AV (A5) with a magnum boltface or as your pic shows, an AV MAG.
