The Sakhalin-2 (Russian: Сахалин-2) project is an oil and gas development in Sakhalin Island, Russia. It includes development of the Piltun-Astokhskoye oil field and the Lunskoye natural gas field offshore Sakhalin Island in the Okhotsk Sea, and associated infrastructure onshore.

The Sakhalin-I (Russian: Сахалин-1) project, a sister project to Sakhalin-II, is a consortium for production of oil and gas on Sakhalin Island and immediately offshore. It operates three fields in the Okhotsk Sea : Chayvo, Odoptu, and Arkutun-Dagi.

Sep 27, 2004 · The platform is a four-legged concrete gravity base substructure (GBS) with a fully integrated deck construction that was engineered and constructed by Aker Kvaerner Technology and Quattrogemini. The platform has facilities for 140 personnel.

The Arkutun-Dagi field is being developed using an ice-resistant fixed platform named Berkut (translated as Golden Eagle), the biggest offshore platform of its kind in Russia. The platform is placed on top of a gravity-based structure (GBS) fixed to the seabed at a depth of 35m.

Nov 10, 2014 · The Piltun-Astokhskoye-B (PA-B) platform is the largest of the three platforms at Sakhalin II. The onshore processing facility (OPF) is capable of processing 51 million cubic metres of gas per day and around 9,500m³ of condensate/oil per day.

The Piltun-Astokhskaya-B platform is the largest platform within the Sakhalin II project. Since the end of 2008, the platform has been extracting oil and associated gas from the Piltunskaya feature of the Piltun-Astokhskoye oil field.
