My suspicion is that TOEI and the sponsors completely ignored Takeuchi and forcibly attempted to turn SuperS in the “Precure“ of its time (to sell toys).

Jun 4, 2023 · I personally would've loved a deep conversation between Sailor Moon and Sailor Saturn given how one represents life and the other represents death and rebirth. SO much potential that went down the drain in favor of the same old formula in the last couple of seasons, especially with the Sailor Screentime Stealers hogging up ruining Stars.

Jul 3, 2023 · Does anyone recall if, in the anime specifically, Sailor Saturn awoke during the Silver Millennium? In the manga when everything fell apart with the Dark Kingdom's invasion she was the one who actually ended everything. I can't recall if anything like that was the case in the anime, or if the Outers just *knew* about Sailor Saturn in general.

Jun 4, 2023 · Same here. Hotaru is a well-developed character in S, but Sailor Saturn got the short end of the stick. Crystal did Saturn better. Nonsensical or not, it's not like Sailor Moon jumping Into a mass of energy after doing a ballet choreography is great storytelling.
