Jul 16, 2014 · Saigon is the former name of the biggest city in Vietnam - now called "Ho Chi Minh City." There's history about it being anti-communist along with the rest of South Vietnam but then it became communist when the South was overtaken by the north and became one whole communist state.

Saigon is the area surrounding District 1 (Quan 1). However, many people don't like "HCM city" because of the war. So people still use the name Saigon, even though they never live in the real Saigon. Saigon is used in daily life communication, HCM city is for Internet stuff and official communication, paper work.

Huda is the better of all the macro Lagers, but I’m also a fan of KGB and Quy Nhan. Mar 2, 2023 · You might find this idea stupid. But my first day in Saigon, I rode the water bus around to different parts of the city. I actually made some friends on the bus. It put me in parts of the city I wouldn't have gone to otherwise. I didn't really do anything though. Just walked around looking at stuff. I found it really fun though, and cheap.
