Sep 6, 2021 · So I had two full size Sable Palms (12-14 inch truck) planted this past spring. One seems to have taken and is flush with new growth, while the other hasn't. Jan 25, 2017 · From my (limited) experience, Sabal mexicana is a bit heftier as a mature palm, and the inflorescences are much shorter (see attached picture).

May 18, 2013 · I have a booted sabal palmetto that I want to make slick. It is a mature tree with about 8' of trunk. It was transplanted 3 years ago so I figure it should be able to take whatever minor stress is imposed to remove the boots to make it slick.
