The Saab 32 Lansen (English: Lance [Nb 1] [3]) is a two-seat, transonic military aircraft designed and manufactured by the Swedish aircraft manufacturer Saab AB. In late Autumn 1946, development of the Lansen began as a successor to the Saab B 18/S 18 attack aircraft.

The Saab J32 Lansen, nicknamed “Lance,” was a Swedish transonic military aircraft designed for multiple roles, including attack, fighter, and reconnaissance. Developed by Saab in the 1950s, it was among the first aircraft to be specifically developed for attack missions.

While the A32A was still in production, SAAB developed the night and all-weather fighter version, designated J 32B and also known as the Fighter Lansen. A total of 120 J32B were produced by SAAB during 158-60.

The Lansen was an effective strike aircraft, providing a stable platform for cannon and rocket attacks. A total of 287 A32As were delivered from 1955 through 1958, with the type remaining in service until 1978, when it was replaced by the SAAB 37 Viggen fighter.
