Has anyone had much luck with a Cisco SX80. I am using the AMX module and getting no feedback at all. Using IP it just doesn't work and using RS232 it works but feedback isn't working.

The SX80 is connected to HDMI 7 and 8 on the DVX and DVI 2 on a TPI. Everything will work fine for days, and sometimes weeks, then suddenly an output from the SX80 drops offline - the DVX shows a red source. Rebooting either device does nothing (most of the time). I am using custom layouts on the SX80 (created through TC Console).

The only control I'm attempting to exert over the SX80 codec is: 1) Wake up (xCommand Standby Deactivate); 2) Calling a preset (xCommand Activate Preset PresetId: 2); 3) Put it to sleep (xCommand Standby Activate).

Aug 2, 2017 · It isn't possible to download/upload a configuration automatically, a user would have to login to the web interface to do that themselves. Sounds like your only option is to send API commands via RS232 with the AMX to configure the SX80 with the configurations you need, at the time you need it.

Feb 11, 2022 · We need to upgrade the OS of our SX80 codecs to the latest level , so they can be used with CVI (to use them also with MS Teams). Some of them have still an old OS , will it break the integration with our AMX DVX2155 system if the firmware is upgraded and are the serial commands different in the new OS ?
