Jun 18, 2004 · Any manual trans will bolt to the back of the EG33 (the only engine used in the SVX BTW). You need to watch out for the final drive ratio of the trans and match the read diff to the trans. Many SVX owners have used the WRX tranny which does not require you to swap out the rear diff as the ratios are the same.

Feb 14, 2021 · So the speedometer doesn’t work in my 97’ SVX below 45mph. It moves but bounces around about +- 5mph of the actual speed until it gets above 45 mph and then it works fine. I plugged my code reader into the OBDII port and the live data speed varies below 45 too. I’m guessing it’s the gear in the transmission that’s bad?

Apr 16, 2011 · The SVX rear diff is a VLSD R160, the limited slip is some what stronger then the VLSD of the 02+ wrx. the svx gear ratio is 3.54 The rear bearings are the exact same bearings the 05+ STi uses, the lug pattern is 5x114.3 the sti brembo rear brakes will fit on the svx However the hub backing plate from the sti has to be swapped to the svx rear hubs.
