Aug 1, 2010 · The SV1000 has plenty of power, and feels better at normal speeds. I test rode an FZ1 not long ago, and didn't like the same thing I usually don't like about I-4s -- it feels a bit rough and unhappy at the speeds you spend 90% of your time at.

Jul 28, 2005 · They have blamed it on everything from repacking to a scratch on the can itself. It is odd though that all of the can's show identical blowouts. I have three bikes (a gsxr750 and gsxr1000) as well. I have Yoshi on every one of them along with the Decals and Yosh box's. I really feel this is a design flaw with their system on the SV1000.

Feb 28, 2011 · The SV1000 is definitely less common than the S, but about once every few weeks while browsing searchtempest.com, I'll find one that's within a few hours or so of driving, and I've yet to find one that at least looks to have been thrashed. Visually they've looked great and the majority have just been left stock, as well as their ad descriptions ...

Aug 14, 2009 · Hey man thanks for the link to twistedthrottle.com, I had never seen that site before and I really like the coocase. I would be confident that it would hold everything I need it to. The guy that is selling me this SV1000 dropped off 500 dollars on the price so I could get the mounts and the 48 liter coocase and be pretty set on storage.

Jun 5, 2008 · Can any one give me an idea of the gas mileage I can expect with a 2005 SV1000? I plan on commuting 4 days a week at 80 miles and since I owned a TL1000R a few years ago which seldom saw 40 mpg; I'm curious. Also, does the SV require premium gas? The TL did. Thanks and stay safe, STN

Jul 1, 2007 · I'm looking into trading in my f4i for a SV1000, just cause the SV1000 is a 2003, my F4i is a 2001. The SV1000 looks a bit nicer and has a bit more steady power delivery which is optimal for the LA city riding that I do. I know the general differences between an I4 and a V2. I had a Yamaha 600r, F4i and a SV650.
