Oct 14, 2019 · I went through the same dilemma between the staccato DUO and the DVC-P. I was able to go to one of the demo days STI put on and that sealed the deal on the DVC-P. It is the smoothest shooting gun I have shot. It's also the most I have spent on a gun. My previous was a Nighthawk GRP II Bobtail. I will be using my DVC-P for everything.
Staccato vs STI DVC - 1911Forum
Oct 15, 2021 · STI is a former name of Staccato. They rebranded in May 2020 to focus on duty and personal defense pistols. If you stay within duty / personal handgun field - Staccato P is your great choice. STI DVI would make you happy if you want competition handgun, but you won't find new production anymore. I think 2019 is the latest model.
NightHawk FireHawk vs STI DVC-P for competition shooting
Oct 9, 2019 · I have been enjoying getting into competitive/tactical shooting and am looking to upgrade to a gun for that purpose. Two of the top contenders are the NightHawk FireHawk and the STI DVC-P ,both would get RMR red dot's and the FireHawk would also get the Double Stack upgrade. Both guns seem to have recoil and mussel flip compensation.
Differences in Omni/DVC P Duo/Staccato XC? - 1911Forum
Mar 9, 2020 · Was on a waiting list for an Omni around '18 and didn't get one due to a production delay (for barrels i think). Ended up getting a DVC P Duo last year. Now I see there is a Staccato XC. Other than branding, grips, magwell styling, sights and the slide cuts are these pistols pretty much the same?

Staccato P vs Dvc carry - 1911Forum
Jul 10, 2019 · The DVC-C is currently the only doublestack carry gun that STI produces, 3.9” barrel & 120mm grip. It was priced and released a couple years before the Staccato-P was released. Honestly the S-P is a hell of a deal. Word on the street is that STI is keeping the price down to attract more govt agency sales.
Staccato P Inbound ~ DVC L Update - 1911Forum
Dec 23, 2019 · The factory recoil spring assembly on the Staccato P is called the Recoil Master. My DVC L, however, came from the STI Factory with the 5" Dawson Precision Tool-Less Guide Rod and recoil spring. I figured if STI opted to go with the Dawson Rod assembly on the more expensive DVC, there is probably a reason.
Disappointed in the changes for STI in 2020; RIP STI - 1911Forum
Jan 29, 2020 · I just jumped on board the STI train in 2019. DVC L, DVC P, amazing guns with amazing build quality. I had the itch. I was holding on for 2020 waiting to see what STI would have in store for us, and now I wish I had scooped up a few more 2019 models I wanted because the 2020 line is very disappointing. For starters, I do not like the G2 grips ...
Staccato P vs XC vs Costa Comp... - 1911Forum
Feb 16, 2020 · OR, saving for another month and grabbing an XC model. But, just like my problem with the P vs the DUO, I’m torn between a gun designed for a red dot (XC), or, from what I can tell, essentially the same gun designed for iron sights (Costa Comp, or DVC P). The input of those with astigmatism and red dots would be highly appreciated.
