Jun 30, 2016 · I just got in a 16" PredatAR barrel (w/4 feedramps) for a new build. These are still very accurate barrels without having a heavy or Gov't profile. The OP should check them out.

Sep 18, 2012 · I have a 16 in Recce type build using a 16 in stainless barrel from GTS and a Larue free float. I wanting something that has a longer reach accuracy wise. Shooter and lower being the same, will a 18 inch SPR upper give a noticeable longer reach? Or do I need to move up to a precision 308 AR?

You can have a 16" SPR but I think it needs a scope with more magnification like 2-12x or 4-16x. A 16" rifle with an lpvo fits more in the GPR/recce category.
