Jul 27, 2019 · SoM definitely beats SoW in terms of graphics, but SoW's vastly improved Nemesis System - especially fort assaults and followers - means that I can't ever enjoy SoM as much as SoW.

Fighting in SoM, while not as complex as SoW, was more satisfying. The combat visuals, the movement, the killcam, etc. were all better in SoM vs. SoW.

Jun 8, 2024 · For the most part, it’s the same but the nemesis system in SOW is more essential to playing the game and can make a huge difference if you set up a spy or when going after bodyguards before the siege fights and especially leveling up your army. The biggest change is that the game is way longer allowing for a more complex nemisis story.

Jan 16, 2018 · Now I'm back to Middle Earth games, teased by my recent SoW purchase. SoW is still a work in progress (dlc). SoM is finished. How 'bad' is SoM compared to SoW or more important, is it worth a full playthrough if you have SoW? I started SoW, it plays very nice but while playing I felt I'd better wait untill all content is added.

Jan 14, 2018 · Talion in SoM can't equip any armor or weapons but can upgrade talent for skill and increase hp, which i found so much better than SoW, that you have to farm gear over and over again and most of them that aren't legendary are only trash for end level talion.

Nov 21, 2022 · Way more in depth combat system in SOW, but way more traits in SOM. Made it more challenging. Honestly with the personalities, I wish they would've just given some of the more generic orcs at least a FEW unique lines, like in SOM.
