It was based on a Land Rover Series 3 109 V8 ‘Stage One’, but on the outside they only share the front grill, ‘Land-Rover’ badge, headlight surrounds and doortops.

The FC82 was a development of the 139” wheelbase Sandringham Six. Built to satisfy the military payload requirement, the vehicle had to be made into a Forward Control configuration to be able to carry a platoon.

The Forward Control Land-Rovers are the 109", the 101" and the Llama (which exists in prototype form only).
