I honestly think that SMW is the better game, even when you update the graphics on SMB3 like the allstars version. However SMB3 brought so much innovation to the franchise it's almost ridiculous when you think about it.

May 13, 2024 · SMB3 and SMW are both characterized by ‘gimmick’ levels where a concept only appears in one or two levels. However, SMB3 has more, shorter levels, while SMW has less, longer levels. I prefer the latter.

Jul 31, 2023 · Yes, SMB3 feels much faster comparing SMW, this is because of the level design. There's a fair balance between both Bowser fight on both games: On SMB3 Bowser can be savage at first, but if you happened to have a fire flower, o better yet, a hammer suit, you can basically destroy Bowser in a matter of seconds.
