Oct 1, 2014 · For sale is a 6 digit "Ghost SKS". The term dubbed for the earliest Chinese SKS rifles before any distinguishing markings were put on the Chinese SKS's. From what I've read the "ghost SKS's" (not my term but if you want to search and find out more about them then it is a helpful search term to use) was produced in 1956.

Apr 13, 2009 · Arguably one of China's best efforts, the late M21 marked Type-56 SKS is a sight to behold. It is built with a combination of mid to late production features. The metal surfaces show evidence of skillful machining and polishing. The final metal finish is …
SKS conversion to AK magazines - Northeastshooters.com Forums
Feb 21, 2012 · I actually have a preban kit to convert an SKS to 30 round removable mag. I know its preban because I purchased it in the late 80's or very early 90's. It uses the existing hardware on the rifle just has a block added to lock in the forward (or aft I forget) end of the mag. Whether its legal to attach to the SKS I have no idea...

SKS- Leave mag stock or convert to detachable
Jul 24, 2012 · The stock mag was made for it, and is more reliable. Stripper clips are fast and reload easy. I would get some stripper clips for the sks and leave it as it was intended to be. Get some stripper clips or buy some surplus on stripper clips, and practice. The Chinese had a role for the SKS even when they had AK-47s.
Thoughts on the Yugo M59/66 SKS? - Northeastshooters.com …
Jan 19, 2018 · Thinking about an SKS, and noticed that REDACTED has Yugo M59/66 back in stock. Based on pics and reviews, these are usually pretty good quality. Lightly used, well stored millsurp. Anyone have any strong opinions about these compared to other SKS? For ~$400, it seems like one of the better deals available in the current markets.

Feb 9, 2013 · An SKS with Duckbill mags will be a PITA to change mags. The SKS is made for a 10 round fixed top fed mag with stripper clips. You will have to hold the bolt back with one had, release the tab with the other hand, while fiddling to pull the mag out with that same hand.
SKS and 922r - Northeastshooters.com Forums
Apr 26, 2010 · A while back some C&R Chinese SKS rifles were being sold and they only qualified because they were in another country for a length of time so the ATF had official import records to go on. Other countries' SKS can qualify for C&R. Russians for example are always C&R now because they stopped making them in 1956 or 57.
SKS Scope mount | Carolina Shooters Forum
Aug 15, 2016 · Love my SKS's, I have two Chinese and a Russian 1950r. Fun to shoot, and it looks like and feels like a real rifle when you shoot it. If your eyes are good for the open sights, don't worry with a scope. If you need a scope to shoot well, keep the SKS for fun and buy something else to and put a scope on it.
