Mar 10, 2009 · STABO is actually named for three Special Forces soldiers who suggested, designed and implemented the first rigs. They were Stevens, Knab and Roberts of the 5th SF Group at Nha Trang. I don't recall any ever being dated, but that is just based on my experience.

Mar 13, 2009 · I did this STABO rig for a 46th SF Company bash circa '72. I got my inspiration from Osprey's "U.S. Army Special Forces 1952-1984." I mixed in some M1967 gear with a few M1956 pouches to indicate a late war timeframe.
