Same with Fairy Tail, you can just tell it's made for 10-year-olds.) depressing anime (I have enough stress from depression. I don't wanna spend dozens of episodes in sadness over everyone suffering. Apr 17, 2021 · The 7DS manga started off incredibly well (imo) and kept up consistent quality for a pretty long time. It had one of the nicest art-styles that seemed almost like a natural evolution of Toriyama's art. The anime just never captured the magic at all. Every panel in the manga feels more animated than any scene of the anime :(

Nov 27, 2019 · Definitely HxH. Characters were better developed, plot was more interesting, and even some of the weaker arcs in the anime (Hunter Exam, Heaven's Arena and Greed Island imo) are still better than SDS's better moments throughout it's run.

Imo the ending was very bad, it looked like almost every sin could body the dk in the end, the dk was a joke and hendrickson had more evil in him than that clown.

The anime for the most part feels like an okayish adaptation if you dont like the manga format a whole lot because it adapts the manga pretty much with some animation, but just going through the panels and not adding much makes it feel pretty rushed and takes the impact out of the scenes like you said.
