SDR# (aka SDRSharp) from Airpsy.com is designed for Airspy SDRs, however it is one of the most popular SDR receiver programs used with RTL-SDRs as well.

In this guide we explain how to use those feature. If you are interested, we also have the V3 feature datasheet available here. We reccomend using our RTL-SDR Blog driver fork here https://github.com/rtlsdrblog/rtl-sdr-blog. Note that SDR# already installs this driver by default when you run install-rtlsdr.bat as described in the quickstart guide.

Jan 6, 2025 · RTL1090 is a popular ADS-B decoder program that works with RTL-SDR dongles. With it, you can receive ADS-B signals from aircraft, decode them, and then pass that data to a mapping program to plot aircraft positions on a map.

Sep 26, 2017 · The idea is to use the dipole in horizontal polarization. This gives 3dB loss on the RHCP satellite signals, but also nicely gives 20dB loss on terrestrial signals which could be overloading your RTL-SDR. For 137 MHz satellites like NOAA and Meteor M2 extend the larger antenna elements out to about 53.4 cm each (about 2.5 sections).
