The problem I run into is the following: If I start running a topology optimization the amount of data stored on my SSD exceeds the usable storage at around 40% completion but running the simulation on my HDD needs ages to complete.

Apr 13, 2019 · I'm running SW 2018 under Windows 10 on a Dell Precision Laptop with 16Gb memory and a Samsung Pro SSD. The Laptop is a few years old but should still give reasonable performance. Solidworks would take up to 50 seconds to open and most annoyingly the options panel would freeze for at least 20 seconds when closing it.

If it's the license issue, it should not take like 6-10 mins. My laptop should not be that bad, as it's less than a year. It's Dell Precision 7530, Quadro P2000, i7-8850H, 16G RAM, 512G SSD. Is there any way to troubleshoot it?
