The PolyGard®2 SC2 Sensor is used for the detection of Freon gases and refrigerants of refrigerant class A2L in chiller systems. The sensitivity of semiconductor sensors can be affected by sub-stances containing silicone and they may even lead to the complete poisoning. The sensors are also susceptible to poisoning by organic solvents.
The intelligent SC2 Sensor for detection of low-flammable refrigerants includes a semiconductor sensor element and electronics with a measuring amplifier and a μController for the digital processing of the measured values.
