Dec 12, 2022 · If tied well, the SC is a good knot and it's similar to the FG, NN, NN2 in that only the mono leader points forward. In my testing, the FG clearly outperforms the SC. The big difference is that knots like the FG and PR preload the braid onto the mono via compression.
