I just recently upgraded from winxp pro to windows 7 ultimate. Everything works fine except sound. I've installed the cd that comes with the device (Creative SB Audigy 2 ZS Video Editor) and none of the applications that comes with it works for windows7. Thats not my problem though. I tried finding windows 7 compatible drivers but I've had no luck.

I have tried installing the XP drivers in compatibility mode, the Windows 7 drivers released by Creative (SB24_PCDRV_LB_1_04_0090), the drivers created by Daniel (including one of his older versions for Vista), and also let Windows download and install the "correct" drivers for me.

Under "Sounds and Audio Devices Properties" the "Device voume" is grayed out. The sound device is labled as SB Audigy Audio [DF80]. The cthelper.exe process that is necessary for SB Audigy to function is using 99% of CPU when it's active and not giving any sound.

Aug 23, 2020 · My Sound Blaster Audigy 2zs driver is not working correctly. It use to work. My checked my hardware in linux and Mac OS and it works fine. So the problem is with the Windows Driver. What is happening is that I get NO audio out put in Win-10-Pro. But it works fine in MaxOS and Linux. So I am pretty sure the problem is with the Win-10 driver.
