Jul 28, 2018 · Yeah, SA keycaps suck when it comes to O-rings. But I think O-rings are a terrible half-solution to silencing an MX switch in any case, so I don't bother with them (I don't type on MX switches anymore for the most part anyway, so the problem of O-rings is a moot one for me).

Sep 8, 2024 · Below those ABS price-points, it gets difficult. It tends to go right to the bottom with the $20 CSA and QX SA sets, which are kinda oddball. Still a huge improvement over 8 years ago, when $20 simply got you garbage. Now you get fairly consistent and nice keycaps, albeit in a weird profile and with generally thin walls.

May 1, 2016 · I have SA keycaps and find the 'myth' to be a fact. Think of keycaps as coins stacked on top of switches. Then imagine pressing down on the keycap as coins as well. Pressure one has to apply before switch actuates is less for heavier keycaps. SA keycaps are heavier than Cherry keycaps.
