The Siemens S70 and its successor, the Siemens S700, are a series of articulated low-floor light-rail vehicles (LRV) and modern streetcars manufactured for the United States market by Siemens Mobility, a division of German conglomerate Siemens AG.

May 14, 2019 · Following the success of the HO scale Siemens ACS-64 (reviewed in the January 2019 Model Railroader) Bachmann Industries announced three new HO scale models based on Siemens Mobility prototypes: the Charger SC-44 passenger locomotive, the S70 light rail-vehicle, and a single-level mainline passenger car.

This model is shown with one of our HO scale models and undergoing testing on the new Southern California Traction Club N scale layout. The HO scale S70 models have been available on Shapeways since September 1, 2017 at the Interurban Models Store!

I keep waiting to see any further information on that Bachmann Siemens S70 but nothing for quite awhile now unless I missed anything. Does anyone on here model Light Rail transit? Is there anything commercially available in HO scale?

May 6, 2024 · This model is based on the Siemens S70/S700 light rail vehicle (LRV). It's built on a 8-wide scale, and clocks in at 95 studs long. This allowed me to easily accommodates minifigs and their accessories. The articulated sections can easily handle standard curved tracks (R40).
