Nov 6, 2020 · Along with that, part of the deal that Rysn was forced to accept, was never to become a Radiant. I believe that this would have to do with the fact that being a radiant would give her the ability to use Stormlight, which is a form of investiture.

Rysn incorporated her injury into her identity early on. So the real answer for how to heal a truly old injury is a direct manipulation of memory or identity. Sounds like some high-tech feruchemy might be in order.

Oct 29, 2023 · Dawnshards are not Shards, they are different. Instead of relating to some sort of ideal/virtue/intent, they are related to a command. Aug 20, 2022 · Rysn does not have access to other Investiture besides the Dawnshard itself (and the Sleepless, as a condition, required that she never bond a spren - thus never being able to draw on Stormlight.) And we don't know whether there's something in particular necessary for a divine-level Intent to work with the Dawnshard.

May 3, 2021 · Until Dawnshard came out, Rysn was just a cool intermission character I liked. Trying to claim there was an Easter egg that makes her somehow linked to Hoid, and that as others posted here, that link potentially explains Thaylen naming, well that would have been silly and a super stretch.

Nov 15, 2021 · Rysn is only in that one interlude, but there are passing references to the events of the book in chapters 3, 5, 9, 19, and 21 (found by searching the e-book for the word "Aimia"). Might not really be worth going back to find though.
