
The Watery Egg: What It Is and What Causes It
Sep 17, 2022 · I like to let them go through their normal cycles so I'm not worried about quantity right now, but one (possibly more) of the chickens is laying eggs with watery albumen. I don't perceive any unusual smell and keep the coop clean, but the eggs don't fry nicely. It's almost like the yolk separates from the white.

Aug 3, 2010 · I googled what causes runny egg whites and yolks and found this thread. Lately my eggs have had runny whites and not very firm yolks. I have not changed anything. They still get the same feed and extra goodies from the gardens and kitchen as well as oyster shells and grit. It has been exceptionally hot, can the heat be a factor.
