Feb 16, 2006 · While I have read a large amount of reviews praising the XD-9 SC, there have been a few negative comments. I've heard warnings about the reliability of the SC's altered recoil spring system. I have also heard that the grip, while small, is tougher to conceal than other CCW oriented 9mm pistols. Others have experienced feed issues.

Feb 9, 2023 · The BRG9 being fairly new doesn't have the 'mileage' to prove they can take the beating, like the XD or the ruger. Both having been around long enough to 'prove' their design for durability.

Nov 9, 2021 · I got out this sunny, warm fall day to run some ammo through my new Springfield XD9. I set up at 20yds with a paper target and a 6" diameter plate. I had Monarch Brass 115gr fmj, Browning 124gr fmj (in a Federal box), Sig V-Crown 124gr jhp, and Winchester PDX1 124gr +P jhp Bonded loads to try.
