The RUF RTurbo is a high-performance sports car based on the Porsche 911 996 generation. Introduced in 2001, it was offered as a coupe or cabriolet, and with two body-style options: widebody Turbo or narrow body Carrera shell.

Mar 30, 2024 · Based on the contemporary 996, the Rturbo was introduced by RUF in 2001. This narrow-body example is finished in Polar Silver Metallic and wears a RUF front lip spoiler, power-retractable rear wing, quarter panel scoops, rocker extensions, and side mirrors.

The RUF Rturbo is launched with the latest evolution of RUF instrumentation, that reminds of Porsche models of earlier times. If so desired, the RUF Rturbo is also available with 2 WD instead of 4 WD.

The twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat-six was upgraded by RUF with KKK turbochargers, GT3-sourced engine mounts, a remapped ECU, and a revised VarioCam variable valve timing setup. The Rturbo was available in 520, 550 and 590 horsepower variants, and this 590 horsepower example was fitted with a Protomotive intercooler in 2022.

The RUF RT 12 is a sports car built by RUF Automobile of Germany and based on the 997-generation Porsche 911. Ruf introduced the model in Autumn 2004 at the Essen Motor Show as the first of their offerings built on Porsche 's then new 997 platform.
