Rosa Diaz is a fictional character portrayed by Stephanie Beatriz in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, an American police procedural comedy. She was originally created under the name "Megan" but changed to Rosa when Stephanie Beatriz got the part over Chelsea Peretti, who would go on to portray Gina Linetti.

"Rosa" Diaz (portrayed by Stephanie Beatriz) is a main character in all eight seasons of the show. She is considered a breakout character as well as a cultural icon, especially in regards to the under represented LGBTQ+ and Latina communities.

In 2013, she began portraying Detective Rosa Diaz in the Fox and NBC series Brooklyn Nine-Nine, an action comedy series based around the members of a Brooklyn police precinct. In 2019, she directed the season 6 episode "He Said, She Said". The show ran for eight seasons.

Stephanie Beatriz was born on 10 February 1981 in Neuquén, Argentina. She is an actress and director, known for Encanto (2021), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2013) and Short Term 12 (2013). She has been married to Brad Hoss since 6 October 2018. They have one child.
