Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation (also known as Rocky Boy Reservation) is one of seven Native American reservations in the U.S. state of Montana.

The Rocky Boy's Reservation, headquartered at Rocky Boy's Agency, encompasses approximately 122,000 acres. The reservation is home to 55% of the 6,177 enrolled Chippewa & Cree tribal members. The name "Rocky Boy" was derived from the name of a leader of a band of Chippewa Indians.

Dec 3, 2013 · Chief Rocky Boy and his band continued west from Wisconsin into what is now Montana. They arrived in Montana between 1885 and 1892. Their nomadic life led to campsites at Garrison, Missoula, Butte, Wolf Point, Havre, Deer Lodge, Anaconda, Helena, the Flathead and the Blackfeet Reservation.

Rocky Boy's is home to members of the Chippewa-Cree tribe and has more than 4,000 residents. The name "Rocky Boy" was derived from the name of a leader of a band of Chippewa Indians. It actually meant "Stone Child," but it was not translated correctly from Chippewa into English and "Rocky Boy" evolved.
