Robert Dalang, né en 1961, a reçu le diplôme de Mathématicien-EPFL en 1983 et est lauréat du Prix Dommer. Il passe l'année académique 1985-86 à Cornell University. En 1987, il termine son doctorat en mathématiques à l'EPFL sous la direction du professeur Cairoli.

Biography Romain has been working at the BIOP since 2011 after a Ph.D. in Biology. He is responsible, along with Olivier Burri and Nicolas Chiaruttini, for the advice and follow up of student projects involving microscopy and quantification. His expertise with in vitro cell culture and imaging is also beneficial to help users with their staining strategies and experiment design/optimization.
