Standard bovine serum albumin from RMBIO is a high-quality protein stabilizer primarily used in diagnostics. We produce bovine serum albumin (BSA) using either US or Australian/New Zealand sourced raw material. Our heat shock BSA is available in both liquid and lyophilized form.

RMBIO's sterile water is purified by a multi-step process including reverse osmosis and UV treatment, resulting in resistivity of ≥ 16 MΩ. Sterile purified water may be used for dissolving powder media and reagents, and other various cell/tissue culture experiments as well as for excipients for non-parenteral administration.

RMBIO stem cell qualified FBS undergoes suitability screening with Mesenchymal Stem Cells which involves analyses of growth rate and colony morphology, and cluster of differentiation immunophenotyping. Mesenchymal Stem Cells are cultured with 10% Fetal Bovine Serum and evaluated after 4 days.

RMBIO is committed to the development of high-performance FBS alternatives, reducing the burden of the increasing cost and varying supply of FBS. Fetalgro EX® is designed to meet or exceed the cell growth promotion characteristics of FBS in a wide range of cell lines.

Donor horse serum from RMBIO is derived from US origin veterinary-inspected and controlled herds. Heat inactivation helps protect against growth inhibiting immune factors like serum complement that may be present in the serum. The serum is then gamma irradiated at an industry standard dose of 25-40kGy.

Using this approach, RMBIO has maintained supply agreements for 2016 with our key US FBS providers, which ensures our customers supply of FBS. Additionally, we have strengthened our supply of USDA approved, Central American and Mexican origin FBS.

RMBIO’s Newborn Bovine Calf Serum (NBS) is a high-quality supplement for use in a variety of cell culture media. NBS can serve as a low-cost alternative to FBS while providing many of the same nutrients.

RMBIO Fetal Bovine Serum offers full traceability and industry-leading performance and consistency. Heat inactivation helps protect against any growth inhibiting serum complement that may be present. FBS is then irradiated at an industry standard dose of 25-40kGy.
