Mar 28, 2023 · I dyed a RH doll's hair with rit dye. All I did was pour a bit of the dye into hot water and gently dip her hair in repeatedly while trying not to submerge the skin unnecessarily. I then let her dry on a slant so the dye wouldn't settle on the skin.

You can dye vinyl dolls using RIT dye. In fact, RIT is recommended for vinyl. I've tried other things such as shoe polish and wood stain in an attempt to tint the vinyl - but those methods didn't work at all.

There are types of industrial dyes that will work such as Rit Dyemore or iDye Poly however you still run the risk of it staining because this type of hair is not meant to be dyed- when using these dyes be sure to set your dye properly and wash it out well.
