Oct 31, 2022 · In 1979 South Africa had gifted Rhodesia 8 modified T-55 Medium/Main Battle Tanks that were captured from a French freighter ship that was coming from Libya to Angola. The modifications were modified radios coming from Eland Mk 7 tanks with the radios being moved to the commander's position.
