
Solved: Upside down lighting fixtures - Autodesk Community
Would anyone know why my lighting fixtures are coming in upside down and is there a way to flip them over? I'm brand new to Revit MEP and am hoping there is just a setting I'm missing. Even the little preview in properties shows the fixture upside down. Any help would be appreciated. Many thanks...

Apr 8, 2021 · When I place a new lighting fixture on my ceiling, I'd like to see the symbol of the lighting fixture on my plan view. After an hour of trying myself and googling, I could not find the answer. Hope to find an answer here. The problem is that the symbol (generic annotation) is always the same height as my lighting fixture origin reference plane.

Jan 18, 2018 · Our team as well as the other teams are all using bim 360 to share and link our models together and we are in Revit 2017. Right now I have the electrical engineers model linked into my architecture model and have his lights showing on my reflected ceiling plan.

Mar 16, 2023 · I'm having the same issue (in Revit 2022). I checked and all of my lighting fixtures are in the Lighting Fixture category. I even inserted a native Revit pendant component to double check. No matter how I try to load certain category tags (this includes Doors, Windows, Walls, and Lighting Fixtures - though there may be more), they won't load.

Jun 23, 2017 · Use lighting fixture families in Lighting\MEP folder, they are face based families so you can place them directly on any surface of the link model. When placing, look at the Ribbon to pick Vertical, Horizontal, or work plane.

Dec 1, 2020 · I have one light fixture that I cannot get to show up in my reflected ceiling lighting plan view. I can see it in the section view but not in the actual plan view. I have tried selecting a new face to host to and changing the fixture to a different model but it hasn't fixed the issue.
