Revelstoke Dam, also known as Revelstoke Canyon Dam, is a hydroelectric dam (combined earthfill dam and gravity dam) spanning the Columbia River, 5 km (3.1 mi) north of Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada.

Nottely Dam is a hydroelectric and flood storage dam on the Nottely River in Union County, in the U.S. state of Georgia. The dam is owned and operated by the Tennessee Valley Authority, which built the dam in the early 1940s as a flood control structure and to help regulate flow at nearby Hiwassee Dam. [1]

Remmel Dam was named after Colonel H. L. Remmel, who, at Couch's request, used his influence with Secretary of War John Weeks to get Weeks to quickly arrange a meeting that resulted in approval of the elusive license to build the dam.

Mar 21, 2025 · Despite being 660 feet wide at the base, the crest of the dam is only 45 feet wide. It would be less scary without all the “danger stay off wall” signs. There is a real memorial to the men who died blasting the rock face and clearing the walls of loose rock.
