Aug 31, 2015 · Relion insulins are N, R, and 70/30. Not updated at all- just the classics. You would use R in a pump. It starts working in about 30 minutes, peaks around 4 hours, and lasts around 7 hours- like Cora said. So take your Apidra time frames and double them. You can do it, but it's not easy. You need to bolus about 45 minutes before meals.

Sep 12, 2012 · Just returned from Wal*Mart and the "R" insulin now is only good for 31 days after it's opened. What's up with that? A bottle of "R" lasts me 3 to 4 months and now I have to but 3 viles to last for the 90 perscription. :fighting:

Jan 30, 2017 · The R portions covered the bolus needs for breakfast and dinner, while the morning NPH provided background coverage (basal) for the first half of the day as well as bolus coverage for Lunch. The NPH portion of the second shot provided basal for the rest of the day and overnight, but also left a peak which necessitated an evening snack usually.

Mar 2, 2020 · These 2 are the same as Relion R & N. I take it with a Pen & NPH & R catridges. I have 2 pens. I take NPH at 11:00 am & 9:30 pm & I take R half hour before meals. I don't mix anything. For some reason, except for Novo selling R & N as Relion in Walmart as vials (not pen catridges), USA doesn't seem to sell much of old-style insulin.

Jul 26, 2018 · I have recently switched to the Relion Prime meter after using the Contour Next Ez for 2 and 1/2 years. I was very pleased with the Next meter when I could rely on the quality of the strips that I bought on Amazon, but that is no longer the case. I haven't yet compared the Relion to a lab draw for accuracy, but I think it is okay.
