We are Reel FX. And after nearly 30 years of creating animation for every major studio and for our own originals too, we still wake up every morning excited for more. We have always been trailblazers, eager to push boundaries and defy the limits of possibility. ‘Status quo’ is a no-go.

Reel FX Animation earned its cred by working with studios like Netflix, Warner Brothers, Fox, Sony, Paramount, Universal and Disney. How we earned our stripes is another story. From barely-there budgets in the early days, a core group of artists and technicians grew a respected animation studio with blood, sweat and tears.

When it comes to animation, Reel FX has pretty much seen it all and done it all. Creativity and inventiveness are our calling cards and we have almost three decades of experience helping the best partners and collaborators bring their characters and stories to life.

Reel FX’s Originals’ original began as Time Turkeys. A tale of two turkeys that travel back to the first Thanksgiving to take themselves and turkey-kind off the menu, Free Birds was directed by Jimmy Hayward (Horton Hears a Who!) and produced by Scott Mosier (The Grinch).
