Nov 30, 2011 · The short answer is that spike bayonets for the Mk II Sten are very hard to find and most of the ones seen (including mine) are good quality fakes. The Mk V Sten used the No 4 spike bayonet and also the No 7 bowie blade bayonet.

Dec 9, 2009 · The sten bayonet is the one bayonet that was so cheaply made, that it is difficult to tell an original from a poor copy. As such, most collectors will only buy them priced as fakes.

Jul 2, 2008 · I have a sten mkII machine gun bayonet. The spring release is marked B&J.S.L anybody know if this is a real one or a repro? It looks really well made and old. I want to keep it for my live papered sten Mk II if it is. The frog for the scabbard is dated 1942. I never saw one real or repro so I don't know. TIA

Feb 27, 2016 · I do have to say that the bayonet looks good but I am far from certain that it is "real", there are probably more reproductions out there than real items since the Sten bayonets were scrapped after WW2.

I was not expecting much for the price point and typically don’t leave reviews but for such an inferior product, a review is needed. This does not fit a Sten. The part used to latch to the Sten is not even functional and has zero movement.
