Aviva Rahmani’s Blued Trees in NYC; The Sea Has The Last Word
Rahmani created a series of art installations in forest corridors where natural gas pipelines were proposed. She geolocated designated trees in an aerial pattern that corresponded to a copyrightable symphonic score of “tree notes” in 1/3-mile-long measures. Each tree was painted with a blue casein sine wave from the base to the canopy.

Biography - Aviva Rahmani
Rahmani is at the forefront of her field in ecological art and exhibits, publishes, and presents internationally. She currently lives and works in Manhattan and Maine and has recently completed a residency with the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council on Governors Island, New York.
