Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five were an American hip hop group formed in the South Bronx of New York City in 1978. The group's members were Grandmaster Flash, Kidd Creole (not to be confused with Kid Creole), Keef Cowboy, Melle Mel, Scorpio, and Rahiem.

On March 12, 2007, Rahiem and his group became the first rap group to get inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. Rahiem has also done production behind the scenes and has worked with Teddy Riley on the second Blackstreet album and with Dr Dre shortly before Eminem signed with Aftermath records.

On Tuesday (August 8), just three days before Hip-Hop’s official 50th birthday, Rahiem issued a public apology to the fellow members of the group, bringing a longstanding grudge to a close.
