The Radeon RX 480 is a performance-segment graphics card by AMD, launched on June 29th, 2016. Built on the 14 nm process, and based on the Ellesmere graphics processor, in its Polaris 10 XT variant, the card supports DirectX 12. This ensures that all modern games will run on Radeon RX 480.

The RX 480 is the first graphics card to feature AMD’s new 14nm Polaris architecture. The card is due for release on June 29 (in four days time). We don’t have all the details yet but the RX 480 is rumoured to have an MSRP of $199 and it will likely perform on a par with the Nvidia GTX 970.
